Filipa Silk Flower
I collected old silk ties, took them apart, washed and ironed the silk pieces, then I dsigned a few items and processed nice things. Here I show you one easy craft:
Material for 1 Silk Flower:
Some pieces of silk fabric, about 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4")
Small piece of felt
1 Brooch pin
1 Button or Pendant
Paper
Polyester thread
Instruction:
Prepare a stencel of 10 cm (4") diameter, then cut 5 circles of the silk fabric.
Fold one circle to half
and then to quarter, make small stitches around the curve, use polyester thread. Now you have a small petal.
Make the next one and connect it to the first petal.
Continue until you have the 5 petals,
close them to a ring. Pull the polyester thread tight.
Cut a circle of about 2,5 cm (1") out of the felt, sew it on to the back side of the flower, for the front cut a 2 cm (3/4") and sew it on.
On the back side sew on a brooch pin
and on the front a button or a pendant.
Make a few flowers and adjust them to a silk belt --> foto.
