Christmas 2016 - Star Garland

Star Garland,  40 cm

Material for 1 garland:

  • Piece of fabric, 5 x 30 cm
  • Interfacing, 5 x 30 cm
  • Polyester thread
  • Wire, thin, 40 cm

Instruction:

Prepare a stencil for a 3 cm star (from internet or you draw one by yourself).
Iron on the interfacing and draw the star on the fabric - it is easier if you draw on the interfacing side.

Then sew around the star line in small stitches.

When you have done all the stars, sew another time around but use a small zigzag stitch.

Cut out the stars carefully and iron them.
Now start with the first star by fixing the wire --> use a zigzag stitch and sew slowly --> foto.
Make 6 - 7 stars on one garland.
(I recommend use of eyeglasses when sewing on the wire, because your sewing needle could break).

I made a few garlands for the Advent Wreath.

The design and instruction are only for private use.
