Celebrate the Mother´s Day with "Busy & Lazy Rosies for your Charger Plates"

Rosies, size 19 x 19 cm
Busy --> linen
Lazy --> paper

Material for 1 Busy Rosy:

  • Cotton or Linen, 20 x 40 cm (prewashed)
  • Interfacing, 20 x 40 cm
  • Polyester thread
  • Transfer paper

Instruction:

Prepare the stencil. I have got the rosy from internet:
http://color-your-own.com/flower_rose.html

Copy it into a doc.file and enlarge it until the rosy is suitable perfectly for your silver charger.
It is easy to measure it if you make a diameter matching circle around the rosy. Cut out the paper rosy and try it if it fits.

Iron on the interfacing material on the cotton or linen and copy the rosy on the fabric. Then fold the fabric in the middle. Draw the rosy on the fabric with transfer paper.

Now sew along all lines with your sewing machine, use a smaller stitch.
Over the edge line sew with a small zigzag stitch.

Cut out the rosy of the fabric wash it, let it dry, iron it well and do another small zigzag line around it --> looks nicer bacause of the cutted frayed edges.

Takes time but looks nice on your dinner table !

Or if you prefer the lazy version:

Finish after the first paragraph !

Enjoy your dinner.....
