Crossbody-Belt Bag, size 17 x 24 cm
- Cotton fabric, 30 x 40 cm
- Lining, 130 x 30 cm
- Interfacing, 30 x 40 cm
- 1 Zipper, 25 cm
- 1 Zipper, 16 cm
- 2 Carabiner hooks
- 2 Small metal rings
- 2 rivets
- Cord for pipe, 50 cm
- Polyester thread
Prepare the pattern for the bag, size 24 x 17. Cut it out twice of cotton fabric and also of lining.
Iron interfacing material on backside of cotton pieces.
Make a pipe, sew it on on upper side of cotton parts. (for the pipe cut out 3 x 50 cm of lining material, insert the cord and sew it with a pipe foot).
Then sew on zipper and lining --> foto.
Prepare an inside zipper pocket, instruction under my link:
Then sew on the inside zipper pocket on lining of back part of bag.
Cut out a rectangle 3,5 x 9 cm, iron interfacing on backside. Trim sides with tulle or leave 1 cm seam allowance when cutting out for folding it to the back.
Sew on these belt loops on backside of bag - only on cotton fabric (for a better hold you can iron on another piece of interfacing and then sew on the loops) --> foto.
Iron the bag parts, close them, pin them and sew around.
Then make a fabric trim around (cut out a ribbon of the lining fabric, about 3 x 70 cm and fix this around the bag.
For bag handle holders prepare two loops for the metal rings on upper edge of the bag, 1,2 x 10 cm (iron on also interfacing befor sewing). Fix each loop with a rivet.
For the bag handle cut out 7,5 x 130 cm, iron on interfacing, fold it, sew it and fix the carabiner hooks on each side.
If you pull the bag handle through the loops on the back of the bag you can wear it over a dress or jeans around your waist.
