- Hemp twine, app. 60 m
- Crochet hook, size 2,5 or 3
- Plastic ring
- Beads and Pearls
- Cardboard for tassel
Prepare a 7 cm wide cardboard. Then roll up the hemp twine about 45 times.
Take off the winded hemp twine from the cardbord, make a knot --> foto. Then finish the tassel.
Crochet scr into the ring until it is fully covered and attach some pearls on the crochet ring.
Then fix the tassel.
On the opposite side of the pearl-tassel-combi add a double hemp twine thread, fix this with a knot into the crochet ring. Divide the thread in the middle and put on some pearls. Then tie a long piece of thread (app. 150 cm) after the pearls (each side) and start with the simple macrame knots.
In the internet you find a lot of macrame knot making. One link is here:
When your necklace has the desired lenght put on one pearl on each side, make a knot around the pearl. Then knot the two strings and thread some beads on the loose ends.
(If the threads for the knots are too short, add another pearls and start again with knots - it will be a nice interuption of the macrame strings).
It looks nice if you wear a few of these necklaces.
